INTRO TO IMPROV – Wednesday, May 7 – 6-7:30 p.m.

Join this fun, creative, and uplifting class that will introduce you to the basics of improvisation and improve your communication skills. Boost your mind to quicker thinking and encourage your joyful spirit by playing some classic theater games!

Participants will be able to ask questions and leave with a takeaway that relates to the class. Food and beverages can be purchased from the award-winning Fairview Dining Room before or after the class.

Presented by Dan Sipp and Anoo Brod

Dan is a Chapel Hill native who has worked in the theater as an actor, director and teacher for nearly 30 years. He is now the Standardized Patient Trainer for Duke University School of Medicine and the founder of the Medical Improv initiative in the Duke Healthcare System.

Anoo is an award-winning improviser and speaker and the creative director of Wild Mind Improv. She has been a professional improviser for 20+ years, performing with Actors Improv Company (formerly Transactors), Danny Canoe — both with her colleague Dan. As a presenter throughout the U.S. institutions such as UNC Kenan Flagler Business School, Novant Health & Interim Ministry Network, Anoo has earned raves about her ability to connect with audiences & bring joy to a room.
